Season:

  • The summer pennant season commences approximately mid October.
  • Pennant is played each Saturday morning commencing at 8:45am.
  • There are separate boys and girls graded competitions.

Teams:

  • All teams are graded and every attempt is made to ensure teams are as even as possible in each Section.
  • However despite our best efforts, history has shown that each team will finish the season situated anywhere from first to last and we warn all players and parents in advance that this result will be no different this season.

    Play:

    • Play starts at approximately 8.45am each Saturday morning with matches normally completed by midday, if not earlier.
    • The format of how each Section is structured may differ between grades based on player & team numbers entered.
    • A Grade and Section 1 players may have one match of singles and two matches of doubles. Section 2 players may play no singles but three matches of doubles.
    • All teams will play on grass courts unless all 30 grass courts are either unavailable or team numbers are so great that additional surfaces (synthetic grass or clay) are required to be used.

    Extra:

    • If you are unavailable to play, please ensure you have the courtesy to contact your captain as soon as possible.
    • Team captains are to ensure players are advised well in advance (at least one week before) if they are required to play or take their turn to stand out.
    • These simple matters will substantially reduce the number of forfeits occurring where everyone misses out on playing.
    • In the event of wet weather, the Centre can be contacted on Ph. (02) 6024 6354 begin_of_the_skype_highlighting            (02) 6024 6354      end_of_the_skype_highlighting where a pre-recorded message will be left to advise if tennis will proceed or not.
    • Should sufficient time allow, radio stations 105.7 The River and 104.9 Star FM will also broadcast messages periodically to advise if tennis has been cancelled or not.

    Further Enquiries:
